I NEED HELP! DO YOU ASSIST FAMILIES WITH HOUSEHOLD NEEDS OR BILL PAY ASSISTANCE? We do not offer direct assistance for these needs, however we are proud to refer individuals to the 211 Texas/United Way HELPLINE. This is a free, confidential helpline operated by United Way of Greater Houston, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, the 211Texas/United Way HELPLINE connected many of our mothers and families to the assistance they needed. Top calls were for utility assistance, rent and mortgage assistance, housing, public benefits assistance, and food assistance. Whether you need help finding child care, food stamps, care for an aging parent, or a haven from domestic violence, 211 is the number to call when you don’t know who to call. Their trained HELPLINE specialists are good listeners, blending understanding and expertise to provide information and referrals drawn from a comprehensive database of social services.

HOW DO I GET HELP FROM HEALING HEARTS WITH HELPING HANDS, INC? Please fill out the Mother's Intake Form or send us a message via email or social media. We will talk with you first to find out what your goals are, and in what ways Healing Hearts with Helping Hands, Inc can best help you.

WHAT IS THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR YOUR BEGININNG BLESSING BOX PROGRAM? Thank you for your interest in our Beginning Blessing Box program! We’re excited to support young expectant mothers on their journey into motherhood. Please take a moment to review the criteria below to see if you qualify: Demonstrated Need: We prioritize young expectant mothers who genuinely need baby essentials due to financial constraints or a lack of support. We primarily focus on single expectant mothers; however, we do make exceptions on a case-by-case basis. Age Requirement: Our program is specifically designed for young expectant mothers aged 13-26. Documentation is required. Pregnancy Verification: To qualify for assistance, we require documentation confirming your pregnancy. Income Verification: We focus on those experiencing financial hardship. If you’re employed, your income must fall within the low-income limit. We also serve individuals who are unemployed and receiving WIC, SNAP, or Medicaid benefits. Documentation is required. Residency: Assistance is available to young expectant mothers residing in Spring, TX, and surrounding areas within Harris County. Documentation is required. Parental Status: While we focus on first-time moms, we also support those with children who meet our other criteria. Commitment to the Program: A willingness to engage with our program is essential. We require you to complete a follow-up assessment and participate in classes and workshops as your schedule allows. Drop-Off and Pick-Up Information: **We are happy to drop off your items if you are located within a 15-mile radius of our office. **If you are outside of this radius, you will need to pick up your items at our office location. If you meet these criteria and would like to apply, please fill out the mother’s intake form

WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF A "TEEN OR YOUNG" MOM? WHAT AGE GROUPS DO YOU HELP? Our organization aims to help pregnant teens and young mothers between the ages of 13-26 years old. We however often offer programs and workshops available to women and single parents of various ages. HOW LONG IS THE PROGRAM, AND WHEN DOES IT START? Our program is meant to promote long-term success to young mothers and their families in the Spring, TX and surrounding Harris County areas. Our support is here for a lifetime. Once we determine you are eligible for assistance you are entered in our database. You will be required to participate in workshops and activities to show your willingness to be self sufficient and once done, we move forward with scheduling your essential needs delivery or drop off.
